Data controller

The data controller responsible for personal data collected through this platform is Vadim Cojocaru, Individual Entrepreneur (Operator of Podcasters.md). For any questions regarding how your data is handled or to exercise your rights, contact us at cojocaru.vadim@gmail.com.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR Article 6)

We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection legislation under the following lawful bases:

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): when you submit the registration form, request contact, or agree to be featured in public directories.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): to secure the platform against spam/abuse, maintain directory data accuracy, and understand traffic trends.
  • Pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): when processing inquiries for custom podcast production packages.

What we collect

When you submit the join form, we collect what you type into it: your name, email, and optionally a phone/Telegram handle, plus the role-specific details for what you're registering (a podcast, guest profile, studio, sponsorship interest, media creator listing, or a general/community note). We also record a technical, non-identifying trail — page path and UTM parameters — so we understand how people found us.

Submissions are private and manually reviewed

Every submission is stored privately. Nothing you submit is published automatically. A member of our team reviews each submission by hand before deciding whether, and how, to feature it. Raw submissions, private contact details, sponsor and studio leads, and any internal review notes are never exposed publicly — they are visible only to our founder/admin team.

What becomes public

If we approve a podcaster or guest submission, we create a curated public profile using only the fields meant to be public — for example podcast/guest name, description, category, and public platform links. Private fields such as your email, phone or Telegram handle, raw pitch text, and budget or pricing details are never copied into a public profile. Studio and sponsor submissions are treated as private leads and do not get a public profile in the current version of Podcasters.md.

Why we ask you to consent

The join form asks for two separate confirmations: consent to be contacted about your submission, and acknowledgement that you have read this privacy policy. Both are required — we only use your contact details to reach out about the submission you sent us.

Cookies and tracking policy

We use essential cookies strictly necessary for platform operation (such as remembering your language choice and admin authentication) and optional analytics to measure site traffic. Analytics only load after your explicit consent.

How long we keep data

We keep submissions and any resulting public profile data for as long as it's relevant to the Podcasters.md directory, or until you ask us to remove it.

Your GDPR rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectify (Art. 16), erase / right to be forgotten (Art. 17), restrict processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and object (Art. 21). You can exercise any of these rights at any time by emailing cojocaru.vadim@gmail.com. We handle these requests manually — there is no self-service account or portal in the current version of Podcasters.md.

Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe your personal data has been processed in violation of applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (such as the National Center for Personal Data Protection in the Republic of Moldova — CNPDCP / Centrul Național pentru Protecția Datelor cu Caracter Personal, or your local EU/EEA supervisory authority).
